Pakenham has become a major growth area in south-eastern Melbourne as new housing developments have boosted its population and infrastructure, as exemplified in the development of the Lakeside, Heritage Springs & Cardinia Lakes estates.
It is a 5min drive to the station and only takes. It only takes 10 min for the next train into the city. It is limited express which is a downfall coming from the previous area where it was express all the way. Bonus is that the line is express for the early birds.
